University of Connecticut (Bach Degree)

CURRENT OCCUPATION

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE GRAPHICS IN HIGH SCHOOL?

"I grew up loving art and designing things, specifically clothing. When I visited the school and saw that I could learn the ins and outs of this field it was a no-brainer."

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO STAY IN THIS FIELD?

"OWTS taught me that you can take a passion for art and turn it into a profession and thats exactly what I did. Between working at print shops, freelancing, and now teaching it, I've always been designing and in some way earning from it"

DO YOU FEEL THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN GRAPHICS BETTER PREPARED YOU FOR COLLEGE AND WORKING IN THE FIELD?

"One-thousand percent, when I arrived at NCCC and entered their graphic design classroom, I was light years ahead of the students next to me. What this did for my confidence is immeasurable and allowed me to push myself and experiment with new styles and techniques of design. It also garnered me added attention from professors who were instrumental in my success."
