WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE GRAPHICS IN HIGH SCHOOL?
"It was really hard to make a decision between Culinary and Graphic design, I even joined culinary for a couple months before eventually I realizing my brain is more creative, and that’s the path I decided to pursue. I love art, and through that developed a love for design."
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO STAY IN THIS FIELD?
"I’ve always wanted to do something creative, and even after highschool, starting college, wanted to pursue freelancing more. It’s hard work, but I love how it feels when a piece you’ve worked hard on is finished. Even now, as a tattoo apprentice, I have the knowledge of what looks aesthetically pleasing on the body because of my graphic design experience."
DO YOU FEEL THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN GRAPHICS BETTER PREPARED YOU FOR COLLEGE AND WORKING IN THE FIELD?
"Taking Graphic Design in high school definitely prepared me for college, and I even found myself a little ahead of my class on campus. I use my experience in Photoshop and Illustrator to this day to design tattoo stencils, business cards and aftercare sheets."
