WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE GRAPHICS IN HIGH SCHOOL?

"I've always had a passion for digital media, so seeing the opportunity of furthering my skills and getting hands on experience was what instantly made me choose it. Also, getting to meet Garcia who is a professional and very advanced designer made me look forward to having him as a teacher for junior-senior year because I knew I'd be able to learn a lot from him."

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO STAY IN THIS FIELD?

"I think the inspiration I got from Mr.Garcia is what kept me going in the field because I was able to see behind the scenes of how he continued using graphic design throughout his career and how it lead to him being able to have his own clothing brand. I've been doing graphic design since I was young and I hope to continue growing as a designer and one day be as successful as Garcia and create a business of my own."

DO YOU FEEL THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN GRAPHICS BETTER PREPARED YOU FOR COLLEGE AND WORKING IN THE FIELD?

"Absolutely. We were able to get hands on experience of production, learning the skills of machines and screen printing which helped me be able to get the job I have now from getting this experience while being in high school. I was able to learn so much about the programs I now use in college to the point I aced my graphic design courses I have been taking in college."
